Loan application is made very easy and the typical
documents which will be required are;
- Turkish Tax ID number
- Appraisal report fee (500ytl)
- Non resident application form (provided by banks)
- Copy of passport
- Credit bureau record from applicant’s home country
- Utility or telecommunication bill stating the address of the customer in there home country.

Mortgages are relatively new here in Turkey but most Turkish banks are now putting together packages for first time buyers. These are some of the typical preferences:
- Origination available in Turkish Lira, Euro, US Dollar, GBP and Swiss Franc
- Maximum loan term of 10 years
- Maximum loan-to-value (LTV) ratio of 60% of the appraised value
- Maximum loan amount of 500,000YTL or equivalent in foreign currencies
- Life insurance, personal house insurance and National Disaster Insurance
- Authority (DASK) will be requested.

In local currency (YTL) the typical rate is 1.34% per month and in foreign currency it starts from 0.47% per month.
